Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How can I join the Pre-Law Association?
A: Welcome! We don’t have the traditional sense of membership or membership requirements. We’re a small group of board members who host events for the community. We open up our applications at the beginning of every school year and on a discretionary basis. This round's applications are due on October 3, 2016. If you don't want to be a board member, we understand that it’s always nice to have something to pad your resume, so if you are a UC Davis undergraduate, you can become a VIP member of the Pre-Law Association. Benefits of VIP membership include permission to list Pre-Law Association membership on one's resume and access to purchasing Pre-Law Association merchandise. Requirements include attending and checking in at 3 of our events in any given quarter to activate VIP membership and clocking in 2 publicity or staffing hours per subsequent quarter in order to maintain VIP membership.
Q: What events are coming up?
A: We plan events quarter by quarter and we are constantly updating our resources and dates. If you want to check out our events for the coming quarter, head over to our Upcoming Events page. To stay in the loop, like our Facebook page! Provide us with your email to sign up for our listserv and receive monthly updates.
Q: What kind of events do we host?
A: You can find us hosting test prep events or helping out local organizations that we support and match our cause. We bring in speakers, alumni panels, and professional resources in regards to applying to law school or success in law. We also hold fundraisers that support our ability to bring in more resources to campus. Our most popular events have been test preparation workshops and professional panels.
Q: How can I support Pre-Law Association at UC Davis?

If you would like to see something be brought back to campus, show up and sign in. If you have any ideas on future events, shoot us a message and we will do our best to accommodate to your needs.
