Congressman Garamendi Civic Internship Program- California
In the District Office, Civic Interns will develop leadership capabilities and networking skills by spearheading outreach projects, will assist congressional staff with office responsibilities, will gain in-depth knowledge of the decision making process in local government, and will complete research assignments – preparing policy and event reports.
Civic Interns will attend a 3-day orientation program in regards to the district office’s operations and projects, which will provide interns with an overview of the various civic programs, outreach projects, research assignments and administrative office tasks each intern will be responsible for accomplishing. The program will also prepare Interns for their Civic Intern projects, due at the end of the program.

Office of Governor Edmund J. Brown Jr. Internship
The Governor's Office Internship Program is designed for undergraduate students of all majors and backgrounds who have an interest in politics, California government and public service. Internships are for students looking for real world experience in a uniquely high-profile government office. Internships are available in a variety of offices including, but not limited to Constituent Affairs, Appointments, Legislative Affairs and Press.
Unpaid internships are available to students during the winter, spring, summer and fall semesters and quarters and generally last 10-16 weeks. Students should be available for at least 16 hours per week.

Senate Office of International Relations Internship Program
The SOIR has an ongoing intern program. The preferred applicant is a student with senior standing who can commit to two full work days, Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, for a six month period. Interns assist with arranging programs for visiting international dignitaries, as well as clerical responsibilities.
